DESCRIPTION:The AAT is a battle tank commissioned by the Trade Federation for use during the invasion of Naboo. The AAT's primary weapon is a turret-mounted laser cannon designed for long-range strikes. Secondary laser cannons enable targeting of smaller vehicles. To counteract enemy troops, a pair of short-range antipersonnel blasters are located near the foot of the tank. The vehicle is equipped with six launch tubes that can fire standard high-energy shells, armor-piercing shells antivehicle shells, and explosive "bunker busters." These shells are encased in plasma in order to increase both speed and penetration. The AAT is covered in thick armor plating and features a reinforced nose ram. As with many Baktoid designs, all sensitive components are located at the rear of the craft for additional protection. Before the invasion of Naboo, the Trade Federation tested AATs on Outer Rim worlds, pitting tanks against each other. They also deployed tanks on Lok to fight pirates occupied there. During the Theed invasion, AATs were used with frightening effectiveness, ripping appart RSF speeders and clearing the way for the capture of the Palace. |

DESCRIPTION:The homing spider droid was designed to transport a large and devastating weapon throughout a battlezone. The core component is a laser emplacement mounted beneath the body. The sustained firepower of the laser enables it to wear down shields, rip apart enemy vehicles, and decimate enemy infantry. Its weapon systems are brought into battle by four long, hydraulic all-terrain legs, therefore allowing the droid to position its homing laser above enemy targets or move to higher to target atmospheric craft. These droids are often configured to receive orders directly from a central control computer. In large battles, the homing spider works with smaller spider droids to relay targeting data back to its big brother to deliver the killing blow. |

DESCRIPTION:The Droid Control Ship is simply a modified version of the Trade Federation battleship. The central control computer is located in the heart of the vessel, which is programmed to create protocols for various droid units. Commands are sent to the droid units via transmission towers on the centrisphere and droids could relay information back to the array of 16 signal receivers. Despite extensive modifications, it is apparent that they were never intended for war. The laser emplacements provide limited coverage and pilots can avoid these by flying close to the surface. Anakin Skywalker also discovered that the reactors are extremely volatile, which led to its destruction. After the Battle of Naboo, the Republic ordered the Trade Federation to dissolve its army. The Trade Federation "complied" by transforming the centrispheres into detachable core ships that were used at the Battle of Geonosis and throughout the Clone Wars. |

DESCRIPTION:The Droid Starfighter is viewed as a short-range attack fighter that would attack in giant groups to overwhelm components. Its most unusual feature is the ability to transform into a walking configuration for patrolling captured sites during occupations. It endured rigorous testing by experiencing combat during raids in several systems. However, its full potential was realized during the Battle of Naboo. |

DESCRIPTION:The Geonosian starfighter is often considered a stealth vehicle because the engine and weapon systems produce very little ambient glow, allowing it to attack without giving away its position. The cockpit is uniquely adapted to the Geonosian physiology as the multiple control yokes require innate Geonosian dexterity. Geonosian fighter pilots are actually raised in massives hives and each developing pup creates a bond with a specific starfighter's flight computer. This increases reaction time in combat. The Geonosians scrambled thousands of fighters to defend their homeworld, but the Republic clone army routed the Seperatist forces. This increased Geonosian hatred of the Republic and they remained loyal to the Confederacy. |

DESCRIPTION:The Hailfire-class droid is the most powerful of the Banking Clan's armed units as it is technically a large tank with two enormous hoop wheels. The bulk of the hailfire's sensors are packed into a single photoreceptor on the armored body. Because the droid's targets are usually preprogrammed, it merely rolls into battle and blasts anything identified as an enemy unit. Its weapon system is designed for rapid strikes and is especially effective against Republic AT-TEs. During combat, the hailfire has a single antipersonnel blaster for use against infantry, but it usually relies on a squad of super battle droids for protection. |

Because of the deployment rack, the carrying capacity of an MTT is nearly three times that of any other transport of that class. Heavy frontal armor cover the vehicle and its critical components are located at the rear for protection. The MTT has four antipersonnel cannons for use against infantry, but their range is limited and the transport is usually escorted by a pair of AATs. Because of the tough front-end armor, MTTs are often used as battering rams to bust through buildings and unleash battle droids inside. |

DESCRIPTION:The STAP is a military version of a civilian craft known as the airhook. An airhook generally consists of a rounded control module connected to a long airfoil. Repulsorlift engines located near the bottom of the airfoil in order to provide lift, usually a maximum height of 25 meters. Two drive turbines propel the vehicle forward. The Trade Federation STAP improves upon the airhook by replacing the standard stun cannons with twin blaster cannons. The STAP is covered in light armor plating, although it is only protected from hand-held blasters. The STAP was usually deployed on short-range recon missions searching for resistance or providing air support for ground vehicles. The Trade Federation also developed the Heavy STAP, which featured larger laser cannons and a missile launcher. Heavy STAPs are generally deployed to scout dangerous areas or to destroy retreating enemy forces. However, the heavier version is less agile and has difficulty crossing some terrain, such as rivers. |

DESCRIPTION:The Techno Union maintained a fleet of starships of dual-purpose transports that would be used for a wide variety of missions for the Confederacy. All had hyperdrive systems, standard defenses, dedicated life support systems, and many comforts such as fully-stocked kitchens and zero-gravity sleep chambers. In the base configuration, the vehicle utilized a series of six large thrusters that enabled it to quickly exit planetary atmospheres. These thrusters wreaked havoc on surrounbding environments because of their size and energy output. When the meeting on Geonosis was called, foreman Wat Tambor arrived in his personalized transport, which featured powerful deflector shields and synchronized scanners that searched for planted bugs. When the Republic Army arrived on Geonosis, Wat Tambor used the advanced hyperdrive system(which could calculate jumps in seconds) to quickly escape from the planet. |

DESCRIPTION:Grievous' starfighter was bulkier and hardier than the droid starfighters used by the Confederacy. It featured rapid fire triple laser cannons, capable of inflicting dmage similiar to the V-Wing. Grievous modified the fighter with a top-of-the-line hyperdrive and a powerful but compact HoloNet transceiver to keep in touch with his forces. The transceiver also allowed the General to slice into legitimate and pirate networks. After his confrontation with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Grievous tried to flee in his fighter. Kenobi caught up with him, defeated the droid general, and used his starfighter to escape Order 66 on Utapau. |

DESCRIPTION:Providence-class ships were massive, cylindrical warships with a pointed nose that tapered towards the superstructure. The weaponry and armor onboard these vessels made them capable of even taking on Star Destroyers. The Invisible Hand, the vessel where the captive Chancellor was held, was a modifed Providence destroyer with enlarged carrier capacity. These ships became the heart of the Seperatist starfleet, where their firepower was used to combat Republic cruisers and were also used as point ships for planetary blockades, bombardments, and invasions. |

DESCRIPTION:The Munificent-class frigate was a starship used by the Banking Clan to defend their private, secure comm network, harass worlds, heavily in debt, transfer key financial assets, and guard treasure vaults. It would become a staple of the Seperatist Navy during the Clone Wars and thousands would be produced. These star frigates assisted the navigation and coordination of Confederacy fleets deep in space. Other tasks for these vessels included attacks on HoloNet relays to demoralize and isolate Republic forces, broadcasting anti-Republic propaganda, and jamming enemy sensors, targeting systems, and distress calls. |

DESCRIPTION:Commerce Guild destroyers were most effective when deployed in large numbers, as four to six destroyers could easily defeat a Republic Venator-class or Victory-class Star Destroyer. These destroyers were largely controlled by automated droid brain technology. This droid brain had a lower reaction time, which often caused it to run into other ships. During the Clone Wras, large numbers of destroyers were built, destroyed in battle, and replaced. They were most often used to carry out raid on Republic commercial shipping. |

DESCRIPTION:The tank droid was six meter tall automation with a central drive motor for locomotion supported by four small outrigger wheels. It could also roll on it single traction drive tread. The tank was also equipped with a pair of large outrigger arms connected to either side of the drive motor and could be armed with almost any weapon. The front of the tank featured several sensors above its twin photoreceptor eyes. Before the Clone Wars, the Corporate Alliance deployed their tank droids on Outer Rim worlds that opposed its development plans or protested against its unfair business practives. However, the Corporate Alliance pledged its army of tank droids to the CIS when they signed the treaty on Geonosis. During the Clone Wars, tank droids were used to accompany larger vehicles such as the Hailfire-class droid tank or homing spider droids. The droid enforcer also used its huge central wheel as a secondary weapon to crush any infantry in its path. NR-N99 tank droids fromed the bulk of Seperatist forces at the Battle of Kashyyyk. |

DESCRIPTION:The HMP droid gunship was an ominous-looking, heaviliy-shield areial missile platform. It was designed for air strikes in planetary atmospheres. Its sluggish airspeed was compensated for by a powerful arsenal of weaponry. Its modular wings allowing it to carry a wide variety of ordnance, from concussion bombs and torpedoes to EMP missiles. The seven missile launchers were located an either side of the gunship's main body, below the huge aft-mounted disc housing the reactor core. These gunships were developed mid-way through the Clone Wars and deployed during many battles, including the Battle of Kashyyyk. There were also several other variants of the gunship, including atmospheric and space transports. |

DESCRIPTION:The Tsmeu-6 personal wheel bike was a Seperatist ground craft resembling a giant wheel, with four clawed legs hanging from its sides. It could roll on the ground at great speed, crushing enemy soldiers in its path. The legs were engaged when climbing steep cliffs. The driver was positioned in a set on one side of the wheel, with a double laser cannon on each side. General Grievous used one of these wheel bikes, which were stationed at his command center on Utapau, to escape from General Kenobi. Kenobi jumped on the bike, making Grievous lose control and throwing both of them off. The wheel bike fell over the edge of a platform and was destroyed. |
