Alderaan is the home of Princess
Leia and her father Bail
Organa. It was a peaceful world that supported no weapons.
One of the earliest supporters of the Alliance. During
the reign of the Imperials,
Grand Moff Tarkin
used the Death Star
to destroy the peaceful planet as an interrogation technique against
Princess Leia. Han Solo,
Obi-Wan Kenobi,
and Luke Skywalker
traveled to Alderaan to deliver the stolen Death Star plans, but they
arrived too late which thrust them into the greatest adventure of their
lives.

Bespin is a an immense gas giant surrounded by moons,
which contains a habitable atmosphere among its clouds. Enterprising
prospectors established mining complexes to extract vauluable gases
from the planet. Bespin was the planet where Han
Solo, Princess Leia,
and C-3PO went to repair the Millenium
Falcon. Little did they know, Lando
Calrissian made a deal with Darth
Vader to hand over Han and Leia to the Imperials. Vader
used the deal as a lure to capture Luke
Skywalker. Solo was frozen into carbonite and delivered to Jabba the Hutt by Boba Fett. Vader and
Skywalker fought until Luke lost his hand and lightsaber and was
rescued by Leia and Lando. Bespin was garrisoned by the Empire shortly
after, though it was freed after the defeat of the Emperor.

The Neimodians
colonized many worlds in order to obtain rich resources and additional
sources of wealth. The eldest of these purse worlds was Cato Neimodia.
The Neimodians built huge bridge cities to allow easy to their precious
treasures, but not close enough for anyone untrusted to get to them.
They became increasily paranoid of an attack on these cities and
bolstered the defenses. Anakin
Skywalker, Obi-Wan
Kenobi, and Clone
Commander Cody led their forces against the planet in order
to capute Viceroy Nute Gunray.
Gunray escaped, but the Jedi
were able to capture the holographic transmitter used to communicate
with Darth Sidious.

Corellia has always been very independent, keeping
themselves out of galactic events that have engulfed the galaxy over
the years. Corellia is a beautiful world of fields, forests, and seas.
Corellians take pride in their open fields, preventing the planet from
becoming completely urbanized like Coruscant.
Corellia is also famous for its shipbuilding facilities that have
produced Corellian CR90 corvettes, Republic cruisers, and YT-series
freighters. They were wealthy enough to afford their own fleet and
security forces to provide law enforcement for the planet.

Coruscant is the home planet of the Jedi Knights, Old Republic,
and later the Empire.
It was called Imperial Palace and was the central command center for
the Imperials. After the Battle of Endor,
Coruscant eventually fell to the Rebels. Over thousands of years of
civilization, the planet has been entirely enveloped by cityscapes and
urban sprawl. Immense skyscrapers reach high into the atmosphere, and
stretch down deep into the dark shadows. Crisscrossing the skyline are
streams of unending repulsorlift
traffic. Even in the depths of night, Coruscant is alive with
glittering lights and rivers of traffic, a bustling megalopolis that
refuses to sleep.

Dagobah is a distant, swamp planet that does not appear
on any starcharts. Covered in gnarled trees and swamps. Home to snakes
and other creatures that swim in the murky waters. Life form readings
there are massive, even though no technology exists. Master Yoda went to hide
there from the Empire.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
told Luke Skywalker to
go to Dagobah to start his Jedi
training with Yoda. He left the training early to face Vader, but then returned to
finish his training after rescuing Han
Solo from Jabba the
Hutt. Yoda died in his hutt soon after Luke came back.

Dantooine is a peaceful world and the landscape is
almost completely undeveloped. The planet is rich with life, with the
primitive hunter-gather Dantari and other creatures. Isolated family
estates arose, but the population of the planet remained low. Dantooine
was once home to the Rebel
Alliance's main base, but the Imperials
discovered them and the Alliance evacuated. When Princess Leia told Grand Moff Tarkin that the
Rebel base was on Dantooine, Tarkin sent a detachment to investigate
her claim. When they found that the base had been long since abandoned,
Tarkin ordered that her life be terminated.

Endor was the planet where the shield generator that
powered the Death Star II's
defenses. Han Solo, Leia, and Luke Skywalker used a stolen Imperial Shuttle to
land on Endor undetected. With the help of the local Ewoks, Han Solo's
strike team deactivated the security shield and allowed General Calrissian's fighter
group to attack the Death Star.

Felucia was a world full of fungal life-forms and
immense primitive plants. The planet has a fetid, humid landscape
filled with forests of bizarre wilderness. Many of the life-forms on
Felucia are partially or completely translucent. Towards the end of the
Clone Wars, Felucia was a key world during the Outer Rim Sieges. Aayla Secura led clone troopers
there to defeat the Seperatist
forces, but Order 66 was enacted and the clones killed their Jedi leader.

Geonosis is a harsh, rocky world beyond the borders of
the Republic. Most advanced lifeforms are Geonosians
who live in spire-hives. Obi-Wan
Kenobi, Anakin
Skywalker, and Padme
Amidala were captured there and sentenced to be executed. Mace Windu led a Jedi strike force
to rescue them. A battle between Jedi Knights, Clone Troopers, and
battle droids broke out soon after. Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda fought Count Dooku, but lost the
battle. Fortunately, the Republic
won the battle and took Geonosis.

Hoth is a world of snow and ice, surrounded by numerous
moons. Small meteorites constantly hit Hoth's surface. Daytime
temperatures are bearable for humans, but nightime on Hoth isn't even
suitable for the native creatures. It was the location of one of the
greatest setbacks the Rebel
Alliance suffered during the Galactic Civil War. Rogue
Squadron used snowspeeders
to slow down Imperial
walkers while the transports
evacuate Echo base.

Kamino is a planet of tumultuous oceans and endless
storms. From Tipoca City, the Prime Ministew rules. Kaminoans have a
reputation as being the best cloners in the galaxy. It was here that
the Grand Army of the Republic was grown and trained. Obi-Wan Kenobi went to
Kamino to find the bounty hunter, Jango
Fett. Obi-Wan pursued Jango in his starfighter to the planet Geonosis.

Kessel is most known for its dreaded mines, tough labor
correctional facilites where convicted criminals are often sent to
extract valuable spice from the rock. The planet is too small to hold
its own atmosphere and is marked by massive air-producing factories,
but oxygen masks are still required. When the Empire rose to
power, they took control of the planet and established a correctional
facility to hold criminals and political prisoners. Smuggler have
established a secret 18-parsec route in and out of the system called
the Kessel Run. Han Solo
and the Millenium Falcon
made the run in less than 12.

Kashyyyk is a lush jungle planet where treetops serve
as homes for the native Wookiees.
The planet serves as a navigation gateway to the entire southwest
quadrant of the galaxy, making it an extremely important planet in
terms of strategic importance. The Seperatists
tried to take the planet during the Clone Wars, but a Republic task
force arrived to repel the invaders. With the rise of the Empire, the Jedi were
recognized as enemies of the Republic. Imperial troops took control of
the planet and instituted martial law.

Mon Calamari is an ocean world populated by two
species, the Mon Calamari
and the Quarren. These groups rarely made contact and when they did it
usually escalated to violence. However, when the Empire sought to
take control of the planet after the Clone Wars, the Mon Calamari and
the Quarren joined forces and repelled the invaders. Mon Calamari was
now ready to join the Rebel
Alliance and committ its Mon
Cal cruisers to the Rebel fleet. With the help of the Mon
Calamari, the Alliance overthrew the Empire and restored freedom.

Located in the Outer Rim, Mustafar is a fiery world
where lava is mined as a precious resource. Its bleak landscape is
filled with jagged obsidian mountains with towering fountains of fire
and lava blasting from beneath the surface. Mustafar's skies are
obscured by choking black clouds of ash, smoke, and tephra. The intense
geological activity creates natural scanning interference that keeps
watchful eyes away from Mustafar. Because of this, Darth Sidous ordered General Grievous to send
the Seperatist
leaders to Mustafar. Upon his rise to Emperor, Sidous sent his new
apprentice, Darth Vader,
to Mustafar to wipe them out and end the Clone Wars. Obi-Wan Kenobi confronted
Vader here and left him to die on the river banks. Vader was rescued by
Sidious and reconstructed as a cyborg.

During the Clone Wars, Mygeeto was a major holding of
the InterGalactic
Banking Clan. It was a frigid world of crystallized ice and
was the site of a battle during the Outer Rim Sieges. General
Ki-Adi-Mundi and Commander Bacara led the Galactic Marine clone
troopers in urban fighting among the modern towers of a major Mygeeto
city. When Palpatine enacted Order 66, Bacara and his troops fired on
and killed Ki-Adi-Mundi.

Naboo's surface consists of swampy lakes, rolling
plains, and green hills. Naboo's river cities are resplendent with
classical architecture and greenery. The planet lacks a molten core,
indicating that it is an ancient world. Naboo became under attack by
the Trade Federation
and Queen Amidala
was forced to go to Coruscant
to plead her case to the Senate. when the Queen returned to Naboo, she
developed a plan to force the Federation off Naboo. With the help of Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, her
personal guards, and the Gungan
army, the Viceroy was
captured and the Federation was defeated.

Nar Shaddaa is the Huttese name for Smugglers' Moon,
which is the common name for the planet. It is a spaceport moon located
in the Y'Toub system, orbiting the Hutt stronghold world of Nal Hutta.
Nar Shaddaa has grown into an important intersteller trading station
with ancient refueling spires and loading docks reaching out into
orbit, while vast vertical cities fill the landscape of the moon. Nar
Shaddaa has become a permanent home to the criminal underworld, where
ship-jackers, slavers, spice dealers, and hunters populate the cities.
Anything can be bought or sold on Nar Shaddaa for a price and many
young smugglers can get their careers started on the Smugglers' Moon.

Polis Massa is a small mining settlement located in the
Outer Rim, consisting of a collection of floating asteroids. The
airless rocks contain sealed outposts. Obi-Wan
Kenobi, Yoda,
and Bail Organa took
refuge here to escape from the rising Galactic Empire.
After defeating Darth Vader
on Mustafar, Kenobi brought
the injured Padme Amidala
to Polis Massa to be treated. She gave birth to her twins and then died
shortly after.

Tatooine rests in the distant Outer Rim, beyond the
reaches of Republic
and Imperial
law. It is controlled by the Hutts.
Many spacers, bounty hunters, thieves and other criminals come to the
planet's few port cities. It has a endless desert environment heated by
the energy of twin yellow suns. The days are hot and the nights are
frigid. The air is dry and the soil is parched. Tatooine is the home
planet of Luke and Anakin Skywalker and where Obi-Wan went to hide after
the rise of the Empire.
It is a very dry planet covered by moisture farms. The inhabitants of
Tatooine include Tusken
Raiders and Jawas.

Ringed by numerous moons, the remote sanctuary of
Utapau is a planet pitted with enormous sinkholes. Its windswept
surface is dry and desert-like, but deep in the porous crust, at the
bottom of the sinkhole are pools of water. Many of the sinkholes are
lined with intricate cities that stretch deep into caves and crevices.
The world served as a base of operations for the Seperatists until
General Obi-Wan Kenobi
arrived to find General
Grievous. Kenobi made contact with Port Administrator Tion
Medon and brought a Republic
task force. After Grievous was killed, the Jedi were named
enemies of the Republic and the clone troops occupied Utapau.

Yavin 4 is a jungle moon orbiting the gas giant of
Yavin. Its jungle canopy and abandoned native temples formed the
perfect hiding place for the secret Alliance base.
The Rebels were discovered by the Empire and had to
scramble their X-Wings
and Y-Wings to
destroy the Death Star
that was threatening to destroy them.
